Mercer County, W. Va., Health Department to Provide Free Hepatitis Vaccines

May 9, 2013

As part of Hepatitis Awareness Month in May, West Virginia's Mercer County Health Department is offering free hepatitis vaccines for a limited time to eligible patients. Mercer County has the highest hepatitis B rates and the second highest hepatitis C rates in the nation. To date, not many residents have taken advantage of the offer. To schedule a hepatitis vaccine appointment, call (304) 324–8851. The health department is offering the vaccine on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
