February 25-26, 2013, Washington, D.C.
Join the National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA), the Treatment Access Expansion Project (TAEP), AIDS United, and hundreds of your fellow advocates for AIDSWatch 2013.
This year's AIDSWatch priorities include:
- Increasing Congressional support for domestic HIV/AIDS appropriations, including: substantial funding for the Ryan White Program; Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS; HIV prevention; the Minority AIDS Initiative; and National Institutes of Health research.
- Educating our Members of Congress on the importance of fully implementing and funding health care reform (the Affordable Care Act); protecting Medicaid; and preserving the prevention and public health fund.
- Urging Congress to choose science over politics by: repealing criminal laws targeting people living with HIV/AIDS; lifting the ban on federal funding for syringe exchange programs; and fully funding comprehensive, evidence-based sex education.
Please join us in D.C. on February 25-26, 2013! Make your stories heard and together we can end the HIV/AIDS epidemic!
