Time Names Orasure Home HIV Test One of "Best Inventions of the Year 2012"November 19, 2012 Congratulations are in order to OraSure Technologies, whose in-home OraQuick HIV test has been named by Time magazine as one of the best inventions of the year. As the in-home test neared final FDA approval, concerns were expressed that some users might not be able to handle their test results. NAPWA supported approval from the beginning, arguing that it was more important to empower the overwhelming majority of users who can, and who may never seek HIV testing in traditional medical settings.
