U.S. News Arizona: Join Divas and Doctors at the 2012 All Souls ProcessionOctober 29, 2012 Scheduled for November 4, the theme for the AIDS Ribbon Tucson "AIDS Entry" walk at this year's All Souls Procession is "Divas and Doctors." According to Jeffrey Scott Brown, one of the organizers of AIDS Ribbon Tucson, the walk intends to honor drag queens and performers as well as those in the medical profession who have contributed so much to the fight against HIV/AIDS. The event has a color theme of white, so those who attend are encouraged to wear white clothing. Participants will collect written prayers from spectators along the walk route that will then be burned in a ceremonial urn onstage. Brown encourages everyone who has been touched by HIV/AIDS in some way to join the procession and reminds everyone that HIV/AIDS is not necessarily a death sentence anymore. For those who would like to volunteer for the event, message Brown on Facebook, and he will provide further information.
