International News Pan-African Parliament President Amadi Calls on African Countries to Increase Spending on HIV/AIDSOctober 11, 2012 The President of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) Bethel Amadi has called upon African governments to "develop self-reliance" and increase spending to combat HIV/AIDS as donor funding dwindles. Amadi made his appeal to journalists in Johannesburg, South Africa, on October 9 during the First Ordinary Session of the Third PAP Assembly.
