U.S. News Colorado: AIDS Walk Participants Help Battle vs. AIDSAugust 14, 2012 The Colorado AIDS Project's 25th annual AIDS Walk Colorado took place Saturday in Denver's Cheesman Park. Tim Schuetz, the group's chief development officer, said about 8,000 people took part. Like attendance, donations were in line with figures from last year, when the walk took in more than $400,000 to benefit CAP and 20 other HIV/AIDS organizations. Denver Mayor Michael Hancock spoke at the opening ceremony. Also on hand was Mondo Guerra, a Denver native, former CAP client, and recent winner of "Project Runway: All Stars."
