On Wednesday, Representative Barbara Lee (D-CA) introduced the Ending the HIV/AIDS Epidemic Act, along with at least 20 co-sponsors. The Act has been billed as a framework on how to achieve an AIDS-Free generation in the U.S. as well as globally. According to the bill's authors, the bill:

• increases and targets federal resources for "maximize impact;"
• expands efforts to end stigma and discrimination that inhibit access to health services;
• repeals and reforms laws that violate human rights and limit the positive impact of resources; and
• maximizes federal coordinating efforts to drive greater efficiency and improved results.
