Georgia: Registration Now Open for 2012 AIDS Walk Atlanta and 5K Run

Registration is underway for the 22nd annual AIDS Walk Atlanta and 5K Run, which takes place on Oct. 21 in Piedmont Park. The event is the Southeast's largest AIDS fundraiser. In 2011, more than 12,000 people took part, raising over $1 million and topping the previous year's total by $82,000. There is a $10 fee for walkers; the $30 fee for runners increases to $40 on the day of the event. To register, telephone 404-876-WALK (9255) or visit www.aidswalkatlanta.com.
