Responding to an increase in cases of hepatitis C, the Northern Kentucky Health Department and the Kentucky Department of Public Health are working together to offer free testing for the disease. Through June 8, testing will be available by appointment at health centers in Florence, Newport, Williamstown, and Covington. The health department's statement said hepatitis C cases have increased by more than 80 percent since 2010 in Boone, Campbell, Grant, and Kenton counties.
