Nevada: STD-Positive Clients to Be Notified

April 19, 2012

The downtown headquarters of the Southern Nevada Health District was shut down this past weekend after an engineering report found the building lacks an internal support system. As a result, employees and clients are being sent to other health district locations throughout the valley for services. Health district workers are contacting clients who recently tested positive for STDs. STD test results are available at the East Las Vegas Public Health Center and the Henderson Public Health Center. A printout of test results costs $3; results can be picked up only in person, and an ID is required. Individuals who were tested at the Gay and Lesbian Center or the Richard Steel Boxing Gym should telephone 702-759-0733 for results.
