A one-day event entitled "HIV and the HBCU Campus: HIV Prevention and Care of College Students -- How Do We Respond?" will be presented on April 6 at Lawson State Community College. The session is part of an initiative for historically black colleges and universities led by Emory University's Southeast AIDS Training and Education Center. Discussion topics will include HIV trends, expanded testing efforts at Alabama's HBCUs, and social media responses to HIV. The training's co-hosts include the University of Alabama-Birmingham and the Alabama AIDS Training Network.
