On Thursday, a 90-minute sex education program for teens and parents will be held at 5 p.m. at the TEEN Center auditorium, 248 Cox St., Mobile. "Real Talk" is designed for adults and teens ages 14-18 to discuss information about STDs, sexual myths, abstinence, birth control, and pregnancy prevention. Following a general introduction, teen attendees will be separated by gender. In a separate session for parents, the director of the Alabama Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy will share information about starting a dialogue with children about sexual health and responsible behavior. STD and pregnancy testing will be offered at the program. Local Health Department staff say the workshops will be held quarterly. To register for Thursday's event, telephone 251-405-4521.
