March 12, 2012
Planned Parenthood Greater Memphis Region has resumed its HIV testing and prevention outreach. The program had been suspended after the state rescinded grants to the group, but that decision was overturned by a judge's preliminary injunction. Free weekly HIV testing and prevention counseling will be offered: Mondays, 1-3 p.m., Getwell Community Clinic, 3055 Watson; Wednesdays, 6-9 p.m., Memphis Gay and Lesbian Community Center, 892 S. Cooper; Fridays, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. (except during school breaks and exam weeks), University of Memphis University Center, room 203; and Fridays, 5-8 p.m., Caritas Village Coffee Shop, 2509 Harvard.
