U.S. News New Jersey: AIDS Healing Prayers Event at Asbury ChurchMarch 8, 2012 To observe the National Week of Prayer for the Healing of AIDS, Asbury Park's Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church will hold a program Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. "This is important because we recognize AIDS to be a community disease affecting families," said Crystal Ramsey, a member of the church's AIDS ministry. "We want to get information out to people to get tested." In addition to prayer, music, and dance, the event will include remarks by people with AIDS and a representative of the Visiting Nurse Association of Central New Jersey. For more information, telephone Ramsey at 732-685-6376. To learn more about the national commemoration, visit www.nationalweekofprayerforthehealingofaids.org.
