New York: HIV/AIDS Event to Offer Free Testing

From U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

The Village of Hempstead and the Long Island Association for AIDS Care Inc. will commemorate National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day Tuesday with an outreach event from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kennedy Memorial Park, 335 Greenwich St. Free HIV and hepatitis C testing will be offered, along with educational materials and entertainment. Scheduled speakers include Mayor Wayne J. Hall Sr. For more information, telephone LIAAC at 516-489-3400 ext. 286 or 877-TO-LIAAC.
