Ugandan Orphans to Perform at Hackensack, N.J., Church
February 1, 2012
About 20 orphans from Uganda will perform a concert Friday at First Presbyterian Church of Hackensack to raise awareness of the AIDS epidemic in their homeland. The youths, ages 10-19, are part of the Children of Uganda, which provides AIDS education and support for orphans and vulnerable children, and which works with local non-governmental organizations to address the needs of Uganda's children. First Presbyterian and Leonia Presbyterian teamed with Presbyterian congregations in Tenafly and Ramsey to sponsor the concert through ticket sales. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian, 64 Passaic St. For more information, telephone 201-342-7570 or visit http://fpchackensack.org/fpchackensack.org/Welcome.html.
