"Update Your Status" This Valentine's Day and Encourage More HIV TestingFebruary 1, 2012
Did you know that roughly 1 in 5 people infected with HIV in the United States is unaware of his or her infection and may be unknowingly transmitting the virus to others? This Valentine's Day, help stop the spread of HIV by getting tested and/or encouraging your friends to get tested! Starting on January 31 and running through February 14, DoSomething.org will be launching our Update Your Status campaign, urging young people to sign up and get tested for HIV. Participants can sign up at www.DoSomething.org/status and use the HIV testing locator to find a HIV testing center in their community. Upon completion, participants will have the option to literally update their Facebook status to share with friends the importance of getting tested. Participate in just 5 easy steps:
