Mississippi Gets $1.4 Million Health Grant

January 5, 2012

A new $1.4 million grant to the Mississippi Department of Health will be used for HIV prevention and surveillance work, as well as AIDS research. The funding for the department's Comprehensive HIV Prevention Project is being provided by the US Department of Health and Human Services, according to Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.). The project period runs from Jan. 1, 2012, to Dec. 31, 2016.
