California: Grant Money Goes to East Bay HIV Testing Organization

December 12, 2011

Tri-City Health Center, which provides mobile HIV testing services in nightclubs and motels, has received a $75,000 grant from Kaiser Permamente. The nonprofit serves Fremont, Hayward, Oakland, and Livermore; it will use the money to expand its HIV testing outreach to African-American and Latino gay youths, day laborers, and transgender young people. Last year, Tri-City tested and counseled nearly 1,400 Alameda County youths.
