TAKE ACTION TODAY!December 12, 2011  We need your help to protect syringe exchange programs, email your Senator immediately! We are hearing that syringe exchange programs are under attack in last minute Fiscal Year 2012 appropriations negotiations. There have been remarkable gains in prevention over the past two years due to syringe exchange programs, all of which would be lost if language reinstating the federal ban on syringe exchange is included in the FY12 budget package. Please let Senate leadership and conferees know that these policy riders are unacceptable. HIV and hepatitis C prevention is too important to trade away.
