International News Philippines: HIV Cases Hit Record in SeptemberNovember 4, 2011 The Department of Health's Philippine HIV and AIDS Registry added 253 new HIV cases in September, the highest one-month total since the country began tracking the disease in 1984. The count rose by 65 percent, or 153 cases, from the same period last year. Five of the newly diagnosed patients had already progressed to AIDS.
