U.S. News AIDS Walk 27 in West Hollywood, Calif., Oct. 16October 12, 2011 Organizers expect 30,000 people to hit the streets of West Hollywood for the 27th annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles on Sunday, Oct. 16. "Last year, a passionate crowd of 30,000 walkers and 2,500 volunteers raised more than $2.8 million for HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and advocacy programs," said Craig E. Thompson, executive director of AIDS Project Los Angeles. The walk's proceeds benefit APLA and more than 20 other Los Angeles County AIDS service organizations.
