Illinois: Thousands at Chicago AIDS Walk

October 7, 2011

Last Saturday's 2011 AIDS Run & Walk Chicago drew almost 5,000 people to downtown Chicago and took in an estimated $500,000. The money raised goes to support the work of the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and its partner agencies. WGN-TV personalities Dean Richards and Erin McElroy welcomed the crowd, along with David Munar, AFC's executive director and CEO. Also on hand to show their support were U.S. Rep. Mike Quigley, state Rep. Greg Harris, and Alderman Robert Fioretti.
