International News Rhode Island: Brown University Faculty to Launch AIDS Project in GhanaSeptember 20, 2011 Helping local health care providers battle the AIDS epidemic is the goal of four Brown University professors who are traveling to Africa this week. Beginning Tuesday at the University of Ghana, the four will take part in a series of workshops on the latest advancements in AIDS research. Professors from Yale and Tufts universities also are joining in the launch, which is supported by a multiyear, $1.1 million grant from the US Agency for International Development.
