Rhode Island Governor to Stress Importance of HIV Testing

Gov. Lincoln Chafee (I) will use a meeting today with Thomas Bertrand, executive director of the AIDS Project Rhode Island, to discuss the importance of being tested for HIV. The governor also will encourage Rhode Islanders to take part in the annual AIDS Walk for Life on Oct. 2. The fundraiser for APRI begins and ends on the Statehouse lawn.
