U.S. News Georgia: Help for AIDS WalkSeptember 7, 2011 AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run will take place Oct. 16 in Piedmont Park. An Atlanta fall tradition for more than two decades, the event last year raised $920,000 for local AIDS service organizations. A fundraiser benefiting the walk will take place Sept. 14 at Tavern 99, 128 E. Andrews Dr. The Ben Deignan Band will perform; admission is $10 in advance or $15 at the door; and the restaurant is donating 10 percent of its food and beverage sales.
