U.S. News Rhode Island: Rapid HIV Test OfferedAugust 22, 2011 Thanks to a grant from the state Department of Health, AIDS Project Rhode Island is now offering free rapid-result HIV testing. Licensed HIV counselors perform the needle-free oral test on Tuesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. on a walk-in basis or by appointment. Persons who test positive are counseled and referred to Miriam Hospital for confirmatory testing.
