The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, the Office of HIV & AIDS Housing and the Baltimore HUD Field Office had a discussion on building successful collaborations on housing interventions on HIV & AIDS in the 21st Century.

Information about HUD resources which can help persons with HIV & AIDS was presented by housing and care providers, along with participation by HUD and other Federal officials. This event helped to reinforce the essential role faith-based and community organizations can play in fighting stigma and offering the helping hand in supporting people living with HIV & AIDS access safe, decent, and affordable housing.
The free round table discussion also presented science-based evidence on the importance of housing as a structural intervention and the need to develop more advocacy to include housing as a core element of local and state comprehensive HIV & AIDS prevention and care plans.
