Third Northwest Ohio AIDS Walk, Sept. 10, 2011, in Toledo, Ohio
August 8, 2011
When the Northwest Ohio AIDS Walk takes place on Sept. 10, its organizer, AIDS Resource Center Ohio, will encourage participants to "RUN, WALK ... or Just Take a Stand." "This is the third year that ARC Ohio put together this event," said John Hopkins, the group's major gifts and development officer. "But this year we added, 'or just take a stand.' Many people think that they need to run or walk, but not necessarily; we want their presence, their support." Thus, activities will include a 5K untimed walk/run and a one-mile stroll. The event in Toledo's International Park begins with registration at 8:00 a.m. For more information, visit www.arcohio.org, or telephone 419-241-9444.
