U.S. News Delaware Agency to Close Health Clinic in WilmingtonJuly 28, 2011 Delaware's Division of Public Health is shuttering a clinic in Wilmington that provides pregnancy testing, exams, and STD treatment. The Northeast State Service Center, 1624 Jessup St., will close on Aug. 10. DPH said that the community is adequately covered by health care providers at nine other sites. "We were duplicating existing health services and competing with area health care providers. We met with local partners and they are happy to provide care to these patients," said Dr. Karyl Rattay, DPH's director. On July 27, Northeast patients were contacted by mail and informed of the area's alternate providers.
