Texas: National HIV Testing Day

June 22, 2011

Local residents will have several opportunities to undergo HIV screening in conjunction with National HIV Testing Day, June 27. On June 24, the AIDS Outreach Center, in collaboration with the National Association of People with AIDS-Mayors Campaign Against HIV, will offer HIV and syphilis testing from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Miramonte Apartments, 2800 Las Vegas Trail, Fort Worth. People taking the test will receive a free ticket for food and admission to a hip-hop concert. AOC also will perform the tests on June 27 at Fort Worth City Hall, 1100 Throckmorton St., between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. For more information, telephone AOC's John Reed at 817-335-1994, ext. 245.
