The Body Covers: The 4th International Workshop on HIV Drug Resistance and Treatment Strategies
Conference Summaries
Understanding resistance remains one of the most crucial issues for those dealing with HIV treatment, and because of this, this conference has been one of the year's most important. It is a small conference with less than 300 attendees, representing those who work on these critical issues, and who have data to present from ongoing work. What remains clear, overall, is that there is still much more work needed to clarify many of the uncertainties in dealing with resistance of HIV to medications. This summary will review several of the presentations at this meeting. All of the abstracts can be reviewed as they are published in a journal Antiviral Therapy, Volume 5, Supplement 3, which can be purchased from the International Medical Press. You can also read their official report (pdf).
Abstract 4. Anti-HIV activity profile of tenofovir (PMPA) against a panel of nucleoside resistant clinical samples
