At the final event of the first-ever Grandmothers' Gathering, Canadian grandmothers led a rousing rendition of "Amazing Grace," with participation from the packed audience of over 300 grandmothers and their supporters. The Grandmothers' Gathering featured a series of workshops and events focused on building solidarity between grandmothers caring for children orphaned by AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa and their fellow grandmothers in Canada.
