In this photo, the Fund the Fund protesters entered the XV International AIDS Conference media center where more than 200 journalists were working. They stood silently for about five minutes with photos of Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, George Bush and other leaders with red paint dripping from the posters. Then the group invaded a press conference called "Launch of Global Fund Progress Report," which had just started. Dr. Richard Feachem, Executive Director, The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and Helen Rossert, General Director, AIDES, were presiding over the press conference.
