Media is crucial in the fight against AIDS, and one of the most powerful media companies is MTV, which has a worldwide audience of one billion. This is Bill Roedy, President of MTV Networks, who took part in a few panels at the conference. MTV is partnering with China Central TV to raise awareness about HIV. MTV is also planning to launch a Mandarin version of its Staying Alive Web site.
