ELISA Y PCR RNA - JS

Question:

porque si a los 9 dias ya se dectecta el vih con una prueba PCR RNA, se sigue usando la prueba de elisa que tarda hasta 6 meses en periodo ventana. SALUDOS Y GRACIAS

La razón es muy sencilla. La prueba de ELISA como cernimiento es mucho mas rápida, sensitiva, específica y costo -- efectiva, en comparación con el PCR la cual su costo oscila entre los $200 -- $225 Vs $15 - $30 del ELISA. Poe otro lado la prueba de ELISA puede tardar 6 semanas no 6 meses en período de ventana.
