AUNQUE NO SOY PSICOLOGA CLINICA, UNA AMIGA ME BUSCO PARA QUE AYUDE A SU HERMANA, QUIEN PIENSA QUE ESTA CONTAGIADA CON EL VIRUS DEL VIH Y QUE HA CONTAGIADO A SU ESPOSO E HIJAS PEQUEÑAS. ELLA TUVO UNA RELACION POR 6 MESES CON PROTECCIÓN (ESTO POR DESPECHO PUES SU ESPOSO HABIA HECHO LO MISMO, ADEMAS DE DARLE MALA VIDA), SE HA HECHO COMO TRES VECES LA PRUEBA Y SALE NEGATIVA, PERO TODOS TIENEN SINTOMAS COMO DOLOR DE CABEZA, VISION BORROSA Y DOLOR ESTOMACAL, ASI COMO CANSANCIO. DESPUES DE LEER EL FORO DE USTEDES, YA TENGO MUCHOS MAS ELEMENTOS PARA REBATIR SU ARGUMENTO, PUES PIENSO QUE NO HAY TAL INFECCION, INCLUSO IMPRIMI ALGUNAS RESPUESTAS, COMO APOYO. ELLA DICE QUE VIO EN ALGUN LUGAR DE INTERNET QUE UNA VEZ QUE EL MAL ESTA AVANZADO HAY UNA ESPECIE DE RECONVERSION EN LA CUAL YA NO APARECE EL VIRUS EN LOS ANALISIS (??). LO UNICO QUE VI AL RESPECTO ES AL REVES: DESPUES DE LA INFECCION VIENE UNA RECONVERSION DE SEROPOSITIVO A SERONEGATIVO (QUE OCURRE JUSTAMENTE EN EL PERIODO "VENTANA"). ¿ESTOY EN LO CORRECTO?. POR FAVOR ORIENTENME, PUES CREO QUE ESTOY ANTE UN EVIDENTE CASO DE ANSIEDAD Y OBSESION (DESDE LUEGO SI HAY SINTOMAS -VERDADEROS- HABRÁ QUE CONSULTAR A UN INTERNISTA PARA VER QUE VIRUS HAY EN CASA O ALGO ASI). Estoy de acuerdo con usted. Su amiga no está infectada. Después de la infección el perido ventana dura unas tres o cuatro semanas en la mayoría de los casos. El primer test que se positiviza es la PCR, luego el p24 y finalmente el ELISA, que es la prueba que se emplea de screening. Muy rara vez el test se vuelve negativo con el tiempo. Si despues de 6 meses de una relación de riesgo el ELISA sigue siendo negativo su amiga no está infectada
