elisa confiable??? |
Question:estimado doctor tebas me gustaria saber 2 cosas importantes, ¿cuanto tiempo despues de la infeccion aparecen los sintomas tales como candida etc???????? ¿y que tan confiable es la prueba de elisa ya que me la realize y salio negativa
Respuesta:El valor predictivo positivo y negativo de un ELISA es superior al 99%. Es decir que si el test es negativo su probabilidad de estar infectado es de menos del 1% (de hecho es mucho menos del 1%). En general pasan más de 5-7 años despues de la infección antes de que empiecen a aparecer infecciones oportunistas, pero este periodo de tiempo varía de un paciente a otro.
