WILLIAM BLISH, IIIUNFORGETTABLE "BUDDY"Registrar - Robert HarrisonEmail - BEVINEAU@aol.com Memorial: William Blish, was a passionate and highly creative young man. He was highly outspoken and always ready for any challenge that life presented to him. During the late sixties and early seventies, "Blish" gained attention as a hot headed high school leader who was impatient with the status quo. He was tall, wore a goatee and sported a black baret quite often. Given the turbulence of those years, it was not uncommon for Bill to flash a clenched fist "Black Power" salute. He loved nothing more than a good protest event. He spoke always with great eloquence and with much fire. To balance all of this, William also delved into Transcendental Meditation. He wanted everybody he met to learn how to meditate, during those years. His other great passion was music, and he sang with fervor in the A'cappella Choir and Glee Club. After high school, he majored in music education at Howard University in Washington, DC. He loved all the great composers; especially Verdi. This highly sensitive and warm human being passed away about ten years ago. He lived in Atlanta at the time. All of his friends will remember his zest for living and his determination to always make things better in this world. We miss him a lot.
