Memorial:

Dear Robert, I lost you January 9, 1990 and with tubes in your throat and unable to speak you scribbled "I guess you will have to get out of your shit now". Well Robert I know writing is really for others to see and not for you as you were with me. I lost 30 pounds, quit drinking, quit smoking, dumped loser friends and stuck to quality, got the test, kicked the closet door open at the office, faced discrimination and worst, travelled the world, found my higher power, found self esteem, published many letters to the editor, gotten political, bought a new home, my book is well in progress "Men of Steel" and so much much more. You taught me alot. Unfortunately your loss and HIV was the catalyst to the best me I have ever been. All of these years later and I still miss you. I know that the best is yet to come and that you are with me. "Clean up my shit I most certainly did' and my heart glows with love when I know that you are there with a approving red and yellow energy, shining on me. I couldn't do it when you were alive as I finally had to do if for me Robert, trying for you and or anyone else would not have been as successful or true to me, you and God. A brilliant man that I once that was wasted to a miserable virus. You were not wasted my love. Very few of the world's most brilliant go to their graves touching anyone as much as you have me, in a positive way. Forever in each others energy and force, love. Life is love and if you have given and received love, then you have truly lived. Boy, did we live.
