Gordon Stewart AndersonRegistrar - MotherEmail - marlene.Anderson@sympatico.ca Memorial: Gordon Stewart Anderson Mom adds: Gordon was my only son, who died at the age of 33 years with AIDS. If you have read the only Canadian book written by a mother whose son died in this way, it was the story of Gordon's life. He is called Michael in the book, entitled NOT A TOTAL WASTE: THE TRUE STORY OF A MOTHER, HER SON AND AIDS and this will help many others who have lost sons, daughters and dear ones from AIDS. All of his friends are in the book, but with different names...that was the only change, to protect their privacy. God bless you all. Marlene Marlene Anderson adds: Gordon's book THE TORONTO YOU ARE LEAVING was published in 2007, posthumously, and he was selected by the Toronto Globe and Mail as of the top five writers of that year. Quotations (eight) from his book were used for the Toronto 175th Anniversary Art and Lit showing, placed beside many paintings depicting Toronto's history. See untroubledheart.com for a website of his book. His short stories are being evaluated for a small chat book with some of his art works.
