OUR SWEET ANGEL,HAS GONE ON BEFORE US.WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED FRM HER? LIFE IS PRECIOUS,LIFE IS SHORT.LIFE IS NOT TO BE TAKEN FOR GRANTED.LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT.IT CAN BE TERRIBLY SHORT OR TERRIBLY LONG,HERS WAS TERRIBLY SHORT.SHE WAITS FOR ME IN HEAVENS GATES,SHE TELLS ME TO FLY LOW AND STRAIGHT.SHE WAITS FOR ME,SHE WATCHES ME CLOSE,SHE SITS ON MY SHOULR A PROTECTOR,SOME ONE CLOSE,SHE SITS THERE WITH THE FATHER THE SON AND THE HOLY GHOST.SHE WAS LOVING AND DEARLY TREASURED.NOW SHE IS DEARLY MISSED.I COULD GO ON AND ON ABOUT I WISH.....BUT I CAN'T YOU SEE ALL MY CHANCES ARE GONE,THEY ARE MISSED. SO YOU SEE I DOESN'T MATTER WHAT I WISH... IN LOVING MEMORY OF DAVENE WRITTEN BY LAK1/14/00

Life is short no matter your age and the time we have to spend on this earth is not ours to squander. Life is so precious and it is clear that the death of this young person has affected the lives of all who knew her. The grief they feel, the pain the loss is with us all. Especially those of us who have lost our loved ones to AIDS. I feel your pain and pray for blessings from the one who created us all.

Wow. I look at this and remember where I was in the grief process when I wrote this. It has now been Six years, Four months, 9 days, and 11 hours since my sister died. I have a poem on poetry.com that I wrote: Angst The silence grows but it cannot stop the voices in my head, the laughter, silenced forevermore the tears that flow hot on my cheeks tears that I do not understand the sadness wells up inside me, the madness takes its toll my mind is fragile, my senses distorted my pain is real i have the power to stop the pain but I lack the strength cowardly, even now missing you so much that i welcome death so that I may be near you again so that i may be whole again and save my sanity. Keith's Mom adds:
3-4-06 Our sincere condolences in the loss of your loved one, to AIDS / AIDS related complications. We, our family, have recently started a Virtual AIDS Memorial website in memory of our son, who we too lost to AIDS complications and cancer. We lost Keith, last Thanksgiving Day - 2005, most fortunate to have had him with us for 13+ years, since he was first diagnosed HIV positive. After his death, I started searching the web looking for websites that were specifically dedicated to AIDS patients that had died. With the exception of only a few, (including The Body website and the AIDS Quilt), most of the sites were dedicated to renown celebrities. Our loved one was not a "renown celebrity", however he left behind a family and a vast number of friends that loved him very much. I thought the "everyday" person that has fallen to this horrible disease, needed more recognition. We are not a part of any organization or an advocate for anything. We are simply a family that has lost a dear one to this disease. If interested, I would like to give you the link to the website we have just started, in the last couple of weeks, (to look at), and invite you to add your loved. http://www.virtualaidscollage.com/ You will find more information on the "Contact" page, if you decide you might be interested. Once again, my sincere condolences in the loss of your loved one. Ellen Pittser Keith's Mom
