If you feel that the doctor acted inappropriate for a medical professional and they are refusing a course of treatment based solely on your positive status, you can report them to your state medical board. Also I would remind them of the AWD act that clearly states that they as a medical professional can not refuse you treatment based on your status. Unless they are willing to lose their right to practice medicine and open themselves up to legal action. Regardless of your disclosure or lack there of.
I would give them the opportunity to correct the situation if they do then great. If they continue to refuse treatment or treat you substandard then contact a lawyer and the medical board. If you choose to not be a victim and be an activist. Otherwise find another dr and ask upfront if they have an issue with treating someone who is positive before even making an appointment. Then you won't have situations like this otherwise if you do nothing either way you will continue to have situations like this.
