Hello.

I had a fairly risky encounter in Oct 99 with a prostitute and do not know whether she is HIV or not.

I went through 2 weeks of severe depression immediately after (I gave oral sex and I later realized I had a cut in my mouth). 2 and a half weeks later I had severe muscle pains. I have been getting aches on and off ever since.

It is now Dec (some 10 weeks after) and I discovered a swollen gland behind my right ear about 4 weeks ago and it's been there since. I don't know how long it's been there since I never felt for glands before.

Is it normal for a gland to be swollen this long so soon after infection with HIV?
