Should I get a test done or am I just paranoid?

I'm really scared. Last summer, my friend introduced me to this guy, but other than that I hardly knew him. We started going out and we kissed a few times. I then broke up with him and haven't seen him since. However, I am afraid because I don't know whether he might have had HIV or not. We only kissed, but I'm still scared that I might have had microscopic cuts on my mouth or he may have. Should I get a test?
