Trying to find my brother

I am trying to find my brother, dead or alive. My brother is a transvestite and was banished from our family when it became evident. Although he was estranged from us he would regularly call on our mother's birthday and Mother's Day. We haven't heard from him in many, many years. I suspect that he succumbed to HIV/AIDS and is buried as a John Doe in some city's Potter's field. Our mother is 90 years old (he would be 67 years old now) and I think part of her longevity is that she waiting to hear from him again. I have no clue how to begin this search and would appreciate any assistance any one can offer
