Hello, I haven't posted for over 3 years and I would first like to thank everyone for their suport and messages.
My husband was eventually sent home to die, (our choice) the medical team suggested he stayed in hospital , they said it was a matter of days before he would go into a coma.Hewas taken off all meds apart from the Aspergillosis antibiotic (drip). That was 3 years ago...today he is fighting fit! (we won't go into the liver thing). Everyday at home he seemed to be a little bit brighter, the nurses after 3 months only had to come twice a day then once then never! He has gone back up to 85 kilos (sorry I don't know pounds) from his deadly 45 kilos. So, I just wanted to say, no matter how bad it gets, no matter how many opportunistic infections, there is hope. Not easy but my husband is living proof.
I think this site is excellent and thank you all so much for your help in a very difficult time
