Online Study: Your views
      08/11/06 07:13 AM

Dear bulletin board members,
My name is Nina Rwomushana Otim. I am carrying out a research project as part of a Master’s in Health Informatics at University College London, UK. The project is looking at the use of online support groups for people affected by HIV and AIDS from the users’ points of view.

I am hereby inviting anyone who is interested to take part in the study. Should you wish to participate you would provide a wide range of very rich views on online support groups for HIV/AIDS.

I have pasted a copy of the questionnaire which you can copy off, complete and e-mail back to me at the address included. Alternatively, you can e-mail me on onlinestudy-nro@chime.ucl.ac.uk and I will send you a copy of the questionnaire in Ms Word format.

All data collected for this study will be confidential and used in an anonymous fashion. We will not retain any information that can identify anyone who takes part. The information give to us will be used for the purposes of research only. The data will be collected and stored in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998 and will be disposed of in a secure manner. This study has been approved by University College London’s Research Ethics Commmittee.

Further information about the research can be seen at http://www.chime.ucl.ac.uk/resources/onlinestudy-nro/

Participants need to be 18 years and over to take part.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you and any assistance would be highly appreciated.

Kind regards

Nina Rwomushana Otim
