AEF Deployments
      11/07/02 07:51 PM

For those in the AF who may still have a desire deploy(at least stateside), here is a message i rec'd in my mailbox. Now i'm not sure if the conditions would include HIV+ personnel, but the message doesn't preclude them either...

Subject: 1AF/CONR WILL ACCEPT PERSONNEL NOT WORLD-WIDE QUALIFIED

> To assist us with our manning challenges, please share the word with the AEF center functionals/MAJCOMs/PRUs that 1AF/CONR will accept personnel who are not world-wide qualified (medical conditions such as asthma, skin condition, broken arm/leg, non-high risk pregnancy, etc.) to fill rotational requirements for Operation NOBLE EAGLE. This should open up our pool of eligibles.

> Since members are not forward deploying overseas, they do not need mobility bags, chemical warfare gear, combat arms training, or shots usually needed for overseas locations.

> If you have any questions, please call us at DSN 523-0664. Thank you.
