We're stunned, and inexpressibly saddened, to say that Bob Frascino ("Dr. Bob") -- one of our most beloved experts and the irrepressibly sunny and witty voice of reason in our "Safe Sex" forum -- died unexpectedly on Saturday. The cause is believed to be bacterial sepsis, a complication not related to Bob's HIV. Our hearts are broken, and all our warmth goes out to Steve Natterstad, his partner of 18 years.

He did so much for the community. He was patient and friendly with all those who happened upon his forum and blog. He was also the founder and president of the Robert James Frascino AIDS Foundation, http://www.concertedeffort.org, a non-profit dedicated to providing services to those living with HIV, and raising HIV awareness in the public. He will be greatly missed.
